This year, VPPPA is hosting its Safety+ National Symposium in New Orleans. This educational event for safety professionals offers pre-symposium workshops in addition to four days of numerous featured workshops and speaking sessions led by experts, including three of SafeStart’s best speakers.
Don Wilson, Vice President of SafeStart, will identify the strengths and limitations of reducing SIFs in three major influence areas for safety in his session Reducing Serious Injuries and Fatalities – Three Approaches & Their Effectiveness on August 27 from 3 p.m.–4 p.m. in rooms 208–209.
You can also catch Don on August 28 from 3:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m in rooms 217–218 when he will present a session entitled Leadership for Today’s 24/7 Problems. Don is an expert on teaching leaders how to educate their employees on 24/7 safety and drastically reduce injuries at work, at home and on the road. This session will provide the audience with priceless advice on how to develop a 24/7 safety platform.
Tim Page-Bottorff will be back to deliver Humor in Safety 2.0, the sequel to his popular presentation on August 29 from 10:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m. in rooms 208–209.
Later on August 29, from 1 p.m.–2 p.m. in rooms 208–209, Jack Jackson will present a session entitled Ten Feet Tall and Bulletproof in which he will address a common belief that bad things only happen to other people. His session aims to lead people away from assuming they’re “safe enough” and towards thinking differently about their personal safety.
The Symposium will be held from August 27–30 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Every year, the event hosts thousands of EHS professionals and provides attendees with unparalleled educational activities, networking opportunities and inspirational sessions.
The exposition also welcomes hundreds of leading industry companies, including SafeStart, so come over and say hello at booth #121!
