Lara holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Queen’s University. During her 25-year career at SafeStart, she has worked closely with hundreds of global companies to implement and sustain an effective approach to human factors. As Vice-President of Sales, Strategic Accounts, she continues to develop unique strategies to help companies solve their key challenges with respect to safety, performance, quality, production and culture.

Lara was the conference director for SafeStart’s inaugural Human Factors Conference in 2019. She continues to direct future conferences and is committed to helping people improve personal safety skills both on and off the job.
