Being buried alive is probably one of the most terrifying experiences to happen to anyone. SafeStart’s Joe Tantarelli will share his story about being buried alive on May 12 at 11:30 a.m. during the second breakout session of the 2017 Arizona Health & Safety Summit in Arizona.

During his talk, Buried Alive: A Survivor’s Story (2B), Joe will describe how he survived a near-fatal trench collapse and share his recollections of how complacency and fatigue lead to some serious errors and even worse consequences. He will talk about the simple safety skills that can be applied to avoid injuries like the ones that happened to him. He will also discuss the impact that workplace incidents have on family, friends and co-workers, which underlines Joe’s sincere concern for the safety of his session attendees and their families.
