The Fourth Hierarchy of Control with Larry Wilson and Tim Page-Bottorff

Larry Wilson presents to a crowd of safety professionals

SafeStart’s own Larry Wilson and Tim Page-Bottorff  will deliver the Friday opening keynote Zero Harm: The Fourth Hierarchy of Control at the 2016 Region IV ASSE Professional Development Conference.

Larry is the creator of SafeStart and Tim is a Senior Safety Consultant with 18 years of occupational health, safety and environmental management experience. In this session they will use their expertise to demonstrate the missing link in your safety management system (SMS). Because  most people typically follow the hierarchy of controls to establish their SMS, they will address why injuries continue to happen after their system is established— calling this the unwritten fourth hierarchy of controls.  The session will cover human error in the workplace, poor safety-related habits, complacency and communication. Attendees will come away with an action plan they can begin applying immediately.

The 2016 Region IV ASSE PDC will take place in Tampa, FL on Thursday, February 25 and Friday, February 26. This conference gives attendees the chance to receive two full days of learning, the chance to earn continuing education credits and the opportunity to see established speakers and find solutions to their safety challenges.  If you’ve never had the chance to see Larry or Tim speak you won’t want to miss it. Register here before spaces are filled.
