Three SafeStart speakers are slated to deliver sessions at the VPPPA’s 30th annual national conference in Washington later this month.

Kevin Cobb will kick things off with Quit Feeding the Monsters (Monday, August 25, 9-10 am).

Are there monsters in your organization that are threatening your safety performance? Kevin will help you identify what’s holding you back from achieving your safety goals and introduce you to efficient technology that will aid in developing your team of monster slayers.

The second session is Don Wilson’s The War Against Complacency (Monday, August 25, 12:45:1:45 am).

The workplace is by far the safest place in most people’s lives and the number of off-the-job injuries and fatalities for employees is much greater than the number of job-related incidents.

So how do you reduce off-the-job injuries for your company’s most vital asset—its employees? This fun and informative session will teach proven strategies to dramatically reduce complacency both in the workplace and off the job.

Our third speaker is Tim Page-Bottorff with his laugh-inducing Humor in Safety: From Blah Blah Blah to Ha Ha Ha (Tuesday, August 26, 10:45-11:45 am).

Have your safety and health presentations become a little drab? This light-hearted session will demonstrate how to engage employees through the use of personal anecdotes, humorous video clips, storytelling and more.

SafeStart, a Diamond Sponsor of the VPPPA’s national conference, will be at booth #405 for the entire conference. Stop by and chat with our representatives about your safety challenges and learn how SafeStart can integrate seamlessly with your existing safety program.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the VPPPA health and safety conference in a few weeks!
